James is a commercial executive search leader with a focus on global strategic growth, and the value and performance of the Group. He personally manages mandates from VP level through to board across US, EMEA & APAC.

James has spent his entire career within global executive search and has developed an extensive network of talent within the life sciences, retail & consumer sectors worldwide. His network has specific experience of working within highly complex global organisations in senior leadership positions where change and transformation are required.

His functional areas of expertise include general management, commercial, finance, and supply chain.

Chiara Brega

Head of Delivery

Chiara has a track record of recruiting individuals within the C-suite, senior and mid-level management in large pharmaceutical organizations, as well as small and innovative biotechnology and med-tech companies.

She has worked cross-functionally on pre-clinical R&D, clinical research, medical, manufacturing, regulatory, quality, general management, market access, and commercial (sales, marketing & business development) roles.

Fiona Motley

Senior Partner

Fiona has over 20 years’ experience within executive search and has worked on a broad range of board (executive and non-executive) and senior level appointments across the commercial and public sectors globally. Her focus at Walter James is working with clients and the team to ensure we are providing consistency and quality on every engagement and partnership, and additionally growing our HR Practice. Her career within executive search includes time as a Partner with The Miles Partnership, Client Partner at Whitehead Mann / Korn Ferry, Principal with Inzito and Consultant with Odgers. Her career in executive search began with Russell Reynolds. Her early career was spent with Strategy Consultants Bain & Co before moving to Booz Allen & Hamilton.

She holds a degree in History and Politics from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London.

Dan Nathan

Managing Partner

Dan is an accomplished executive search professional with over 18 years extensive life science experience in EMEA, APAC and North America, advising on executive/senior hiring, transition management, strategy, management & board appraisal, and executive skills assessment.

Over the course of his career, Dan has held senior positions at several international executive search companies, ranging from Head of Practice to Partner. He has completed over 360 mandates across a variety of functional leadership areas including commercial, R&D and finance at ED, VP and SVP levels with large corporate clients and at C-level with SMEs. Prior to joining Euromedica, he was a senior member of the international life sciences practice for a global executive search firm.

Dan is a British national and holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Westminster in London.

James Caan CBE

Chairman

Former Dragons’ Den star, serial entrepreneur James Caan CBE plays a pivotal role in shaping Euromedica, as Chairman of their partner, Recruitment Entrepreneur.

James has been in recruitment for over 30 years and invests in recruitment companies of all sizes across various geographies and sectors. Alexander Mann, his first recruitment business, sold in 2013 for £260 million. His second recruitment venture, Humana International, grew to 140 offices across 30 countries. His third sale was a collection of six recruitment companies to Graphite Capital in 2014 for £100m.

As Chairman of the Recruitment Entrepreneur group, James works closely with Euromedica to support their growth. His hands-on approach and mentoring provides each member of the team scope to learn from his considerable experience in founding and scaling recruitment businesses.

Abid Hamid

Director

Abid studied law and worked in corporate finance before entering the recruitment world 25 years ago. He’s worked in over 35 countries in various CEO roles, as the director of a UK FTSE 250 company, and as a non-executive director of multiple recruitment companies.
