Euromedica relaunches with modern vision after acquisition by James Caan CBE-backed Walter James

Euromedica boasts an impressive track record of success. Since 1987, the London head-quartered firm has worked in partnership with some of the biggest global names in life sciences, hiring and onboarding new leaders. Through providing talent and market insights, developing long-term strategies, and finding best-in-class talent, Euromedica’s ultimate outcome is to add value to our clients, who in turn help improve patients’ lives.

Building on its foundation of over 30 years’ success, Euromedica was acquired by executive search firm Walter James in 2016. Now as the life sciences arm of Walter James and backed by former Dragons’ Den star James Caan CBE, Euromedica has recently relaunched with fresh branding and a new website, marking the historic brand’s modern direction and vision.

CEO of Walter James and Euromedica, James Absalom commented, “Having a strong brand presence in the market is crucial for us to stand out from our competitors. Euromedica has always been a market leader but now our rebrand and website reflect our values of being forward-thinking and progressive. We’re excited for our long-standing clients and candidates to see how we’ve evolved, as well as for new business relationships to develop from our strengthened market position.

When Walter James originally acquired the business, we saw the huge potential to amalgamate the R&D and commercial focus of Euromedica with the Walter James brand. We’re looking forward to further developing the dynamic, disruptive and partnership driven focus of the business.”

Managing Partner of Euromedica, Dan Nathan added, “Being an integrated part of Walter James and the wider Recruitment Entrepreneur portfolio has given us the support we need to consolidate and widen our functional offering and capabilities. Our industry sub-sector practice groups have been a real game changer, giving us that extra layer of focus, network and knowledge. We’ve worked hard over the last two years to reengineer the culture, values and execution of how the business operates, whilst maintaining the core expertise and heritage. The new branding and website are a tangible example of this.”

Driven by new technologies and trends, the life sciences industry is currently undergoing momentous transformation. Heightened global competition, digitisation, and the emergence of technologies such as artificial intelligence and Software-as-a-Medical-Device (SaMD) mean it is imperative for life sciences organisations to be at the forefront of innovation.

Abid Hamid, CEO of Recruitment Entrepreneur, commented on the current market challenges: “Life sciences is becoming an extremely competitive space where margins and operational agility are constantly being squeezed and tested, requiring intelligent and strategic placement of R&D, distribution and business services hubs. At the core of this is the leadership and talent in place.”

Chairman of Recruitment Entrepreneur, James Caan CBE said, “Euromedica are unique in their offering of a true end-to-end, vertically aligned expertise service to their clients. From their executive search and long-term talent strategy capabilities to their executive coaching programme, they are an acknowledged global leader when it comes to life sciences talent. I’m pleased to see them build on the brand’s heritage and evolve alongside the industry they work within, and I expect to see further exciting developments from Euromedica as they continue to grow.”
